Knowledge, Practice, Consciousness
The journal presents sound, relevant, and interesting scientific information along with theoretical analyses, applications, and implications. All content will be presented in a way that can easily be understood by a wide range of both lay and professional audiences.
There are three ways for authors to publish in the BSJ:
Authors of previously published peer reviewed journal articles are invited to write a short overview of their work (TEXT-OVERVIEW). Instead of submitting a text, authors can also talk about their previously published articles and get interviewed about it by the editorial team (AUDIO-OVERVIEW).
Distinguished experts who want to summarize (some of) their work or go beyond what they have previously published can give an online LECTURE. Similarly, to the audio-overview there will be a presentation followed by an interview with a member of the editorial team. LECTURES can be live events or recorded. They do not relate directly to a previously published article. The ideas presented can also stem from books, book sections, popular articles, news stories, interviews or lectures held somewhere else.
In addition to our regular activities, we occasionally publish books (sold separately), book reviews, and regular journal articles.
BSJ Subscribers have continuous access to TEXT-OVERVIEWS and transcripts of AUDIO-OVERVIEWS and LECTURES.
BSJ Members and BSJ Sponsors have continuous access to all written journal content plus video and audio recordings of AUDIO-OVERVIEWS and LECTURES. In case of life LECTURES they will be invited to attend and suggest questions.
